This multilingual and interdisciplinary anthology from the MS ISLA research group provides a comprehensive discussion of the cultural and linguistic diversity of islands and coastal areas of the Mediterranean region throughout history. The volume comprises contributions from a range of disciplines, including history, linguistics, literature and cultural studies, by network members and researchers, with a particular focus on specific Mediterranean areas, their cultures, languages, and literatures. The contributions adopt diverse approaches from various disciplines, including historical, comparative, and multidirectional analyses.
