Abstract
In Switzerland, gifted education and talent development is regulated by different legal provisions in each of the Swiss cantons. That is why individual schools have the opportunity to adapt and shape this subject area to their respective context. The present paper discusses the gifted education and talent development framework in a school in Oberägeri, Switzerland, which has won the national Lissa Prize twice in recognition of their approach to this area. Concrete implementations of gifted education and talent development measurements are presented, with respect to the local and legal situation. The variety of affordances for learners as well as interventions organised by individual teachers, the entire team as well as committed parents show the school’s range of activities. A summary provides reflection on both the successful aspects and challenges, and the paper closes with an outlook into the school’s future vision.
