The importance of peace education has increased significantly worldwide in recent years. Peace education measures play a major role in the prevention and transformation of violent conflicts. However, existing peace education practice risks to neglect some dilemmas, paradoxes, limitations and shortcomings. It makes sense to critically reflect from selected theoretical perspectives peace education practice in order to outline ideas for the development of the peace education discourse.
