The study (N = 3244) examines how social inequalities are related to young people’s Agreement with conspiracy narratives. Using a structural equation model (SEM), we show that financial insecurity, migration background, and peripheral residence are partially mediated by satisfaction with democracy. The study discusses the potential role of democratic and media competence in fostering trust in democratic institutions.
