Abstract

The article examines how peer learning formats, particularly peer consultation, can support university educators in applying practice- and sustainability-oriented teaching methods, such as service learning. In times of climate change, universities are increasingly expected to contribute to addressing societal challenges and to strengthen (education for) sustainable development. This requires new pedagogical approaches, which often present challenges for educators. The article demonstrates that peer learning, through experience sharing and reflection, can help educators overcome uncertainties and further develop their teaching. A self-organized peer learning format, the Peer Learning Circle, is presented and discussed as a practical approach to support these processes.
