Abstract

Educational processes in primary school are important for a socio-ecological transformation of society. Institutionally organised educational events often focus on objective knowledge of natural and social sciences. In the context of ESD in a critical-emancipatory understanding that wants to educate individuals to fundamentally transform the world and themselves, subjectivizing approaches are important. For this, nature experiences are essential for children in primary school. Through them, individuals can experience themselves and themselves as part of nature and build a connection to nature. This article discusses the potentials that individual experiences of nature in primary school education can have for empowerment with a view to positively connote the challenging transformation of our society.
