Political Framings, Didactic Necessities and Activist (Self-)Education Practices

Abstract

Based on educational policy frameworks and didactic necessities, the report shows how currently observable activist self-education practices of children and young people can be thought as a contribution to climate (change) education oriented towards maturity. The authors reflect on the results of two large-scale studies from a didactic perspective and argue for a systematic linking of climate (change) education and political education when teaching climate (change) literacy.
