Finisterre III: Itinerant Voices

Building on two previous volumes that examined Latin American and transatlantic migratory dynamics, Finisterre III extends the series by exploring a new set of cultural, literary, and artistic exchanges at the crossroads of the Hispanic and Asian worlds. The volume brings together fourteen interdisciplinary essays by scholars based in the Americas, Asia, and Europe, and examines how literary and artistic productions engage with imperial imaginaries, the lived experiences of mobility, and the circulation and transformation of cultural forms in distant contexts, from the colonial period to the present. Through case studies and close readings of literature, film, visual art, and philosophy, the book foregrounds the symbolic and imaginative exchanges that accompany migration, revealing the transpacific world as a space of enduring cultural negotiation and creativity.
