Abstract

The Aargau municipality of Spreitenbach is known today for its highrise buildings, shopping centers and a high proportion of foreign residents. Shaped by a construction boom that now dates back some fifty years, Spreitenbach is currently looking towards a new future. This article shows the thought patterns, values and routines of two actors within the framework of current planning. The discrepancy between the two actors becomes apparent in the interaction between the planning processes and the specific local factors. The lack of consensus on their ideas and expectations
