The UN-Sustainable Development Goals, adopted in September 2015, offer a homogenization of political hope and future-related aims to deal with the challenges of the world-society in the 21st century. To come forward concerning change and transformation, education can be addressed by the underlying societal semantic through concepts of Global Learning and/or Education for Sustainable Development. To think about related options for school as part of society it is helpful to be realistic about options and limitations of change through education and celebrate the important meaning of sustainability for basic orientation.
