Barbara Schröttner, born in Austria 1972, holds an MPhil in Education, a Master of Arts in Peace, Conflict and Development Studies and a PhD in Education. She works as an assistant professor with the Department of Education, specifically the Institute of Continuing Education, at the University of Graz. Her research fi elds include adult and continuing education, globalization and development studies, postcolonial research and India. She has been involved in qualitative research in India since 1999. She has lectured in Europe, Asia and the US.
