Cooperation of teachers has been attributed an additional benefit for learners, a relief for teachers, and positive effects on the teaching staff’s will to innovate schools. The review focuses on the forms, effects and conditions of success of teacher cooperation according to German research within the last 15 years. Practical advice is deduced, empirical desiderata and methodological defiances are pointed out.
