Abstract

This paper examines the cooperation between parents and schools from a normative perspective, as it can be found in professional discourses, legislation or school administration documents, and from an empirical perspective. In addition to obvious positive aspects of cooperation, several problematic areas emerge: social disparities, asymmetrical communication structures or the addressing of parents as supporters of schools, which is even more prominent in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
