Abstract

To develop and to realize projects over institutional and especially national borders is a challenge for all parties involved. Using the example of a German-Polish project of schools and universities, the article focuses on the conditions for success and problems of such cooperation. A qualitative study widens the theoretical reflection by adding the protagonists’ points of view on the process of collaboration, identifies limits and perspectives of cross-border cooperation, and offers suggestions for the enhancement of such projects.
