Translating standards into classroom tasks is a major challenge in competence-oriented teaching and learning. In this article, we present a model allowing teachers to approach the issue as a group and in a constructive way. They reflect on the characteristics of appropriate learning assignments in a specific domain and on the qualities of students’ solutions to those assignments.
