Abstract

The relationship between the social background of students and their educational success in the digitized world is examined in the present contribution by means of social gradients on the basis of secondary analyses of the international comparative IEA study ICILS 2018. In terms of educational equality, the results point to major challenges for schools and for the school system in Germany as a whole.
