Abstract
Based on theoretical considerations to impact-orientated evaluations, the article introduces a comparative evaluation of three local master plans industry. The implicit impact models of the three plans are scrutinized applying a common standard of evaluation. Exemplarily some effects of the plans on planning processes are inspected as well as measurable impacts on the economic development of the cities. Masterplans industry seem to be a reasonable instrument to connect aspects of economic and urban development.
