Abstract

This article deals from a bureaucratic point of view with the relationship between education administration, education politics, and schools within the so-called “new” school system management. Its main thesis is, that there is an increasing politicization of education administration. This means mixing functions, which are originally separated according to bureaucracy theory. After describing the bureaucratic relationship between education politics and education administration, the expectations are outlined, which are ascribed to education administration within the current school system management. Subsequently, the development of the administrative politicization thesis is shown empirically. Finally, the administrative politicization and thus a new “addressing policy” is accentuated as one of the central structural problems of the new school system management.
