Abstract

In Germany there was a long time denial of racism, a concept which seemed to be restricted to the Nazi background of German history. Racism was a concept which was only used in the context of Nazi-crimes. The use of the concept is changing now. Against this background patterns and characteristics of anti-racist-education as an important part of civic and citizenship education are discussed.
