Die Utopie des Dialogs – (Entwicklungs-) pädagogische Denkanstöße aus Brasilien

Based on qualitative research results the author deals with discourses on globalisation from social and educational sciences in Brazil and reveals the relationship of tension between claim and reality of practise in development education in the context of social transformation processes. The article works out the meaning of ‘dialogical transculturation’ to indicate possibilities of a bilateral dialogue for the common development of scientific theories and pedagogical concepts. From these considerations on education and learning theory concrete challenges are derived for science and education policy as well as for educational practise.
