Abstract
Peace education aims at strengthening attitudes, values, and modes of behavior in line with a culture of peace. The Service Centre for Peace Education works as the central institution to provide advice, information and contacts for both the schools in Baden-Wurttemberg and all the state, parastatal and nonstate actors in the field of peace education. With the beginning of the Russian war against Ukraine many milestones of the international peace order have been questioned and call for rearmament and the primacy of defense increased. However, peace education, in time of war in Europe particularly, aims to support in understanding armed conflicts, to know a wide range of international and domestic peace strategies, to identify their usage in politics and to find hope to create a better future.
