The article deals with Africa specific development policy education workshops and the information about the everyday life in African countries delivered by experts. It illustrates the complex process of knowledge production, which is characterized by the interplay of different factors. Among these factors are the discursive and institutional embedment of development policy education within society, the biographical backgrounds of the experts and their perception of the constructed social reality.
