Resistance as an Opportunity for Sustainable School and Teaching Development at Award-winning Schools of the German School Award

Abstract

This practice-oriented article is dedicated to the topic of resistance in the context of school and teaching development at award-winning schools of the German School Award of the Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH. Using a selected award-winning school as an example, it is shown that constructive forms of dealing with resistance, including regular and systematic forms of incorporating resistance into change projects, are crucial for the critical reflection of these projects, in order to successfully implement sustainable school and instructional development processes.
