Abstract
Principals exert decisive influence regarding culture or performance of a school. Their role in the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), however, has rarely been investigated so far. The report gives an insight into a research project on activities, competencies and influence of school leaders in the context of school development for ESD.
