Abstract

In a globalized world somehow everything is connected with everything. Therefore, it seems to be fruitful to put forth an effort to reformulate a national cultural concept used in multicultural pedagogical discourses. Systemtheoretical (Luhmann) and philosophical-anthropological (Plessner) considerations facilitate rethinking the notion of culture and free the view of its transformative power.
