Europa als bildungspolitischer Akteur in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit

The article offers a survey of the contribution of the European Union (EU) in the field of education as part of the framework of its overall development co-operation. Institutions, volume and modalities of this ‘education aid’ are highlighted. In addition, the article analyses the integration of the EU development policy into the UN Agenda 2030 and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals and especially Goal 4 on education. Finally, the article underlines the relevance of development education in the European countries.
