This article focuses on racist experiences of (primary) school children in Germany. In focus are the institutional context as well as the inherent link to children’s rights. A view on the lifes and realities of refugee children and the impact of “microaggressions” are discussed, too. In conclusion, the author reflects about measures and recommendations for anti-racist education in schools and teacher training.
