Anforderungen an Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Effizienz und der Effektivität der vorschulischen und schulischen Sprachförderung

Proceeding from a short depiction of the programs, measures and research projects (aided by the federal government and the states) for an improvement of reading and linguistic competences since 2001 on the one hand and from the draft for a coordinated research program “Linguistic Diagnostics and Language Support” (Redder et al. 2011), including a research review, on the other, the expertise by Schneider et al. (2012) for the common initiative of the federal government and the states “Education through Language and Writing” will be discussed critically from a political, a professional and a scientific/methodological perspective. Finally, requirements (in view of the taken political decision only theoretical ones) will be formulated for a research program which could be far more able to give an answer to the questions whether the states ‘do the proper things’ in this field and whether they ‘do things properly’.
