Abstract
The condition of school buildings is a relevant factor for the educational success of pupils. Municipal investment in this area is therefore of particular importance. This article asks how these investments have developed recently. An in-depth look is taken at the Investments made by municipal companies, which are outside the scope of official statistics. As a result, it can be stated that the condition of many school buildings in Germany is not satisfactory at the moment.
