Abstract

Since Germany ratified the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in 2009, there have been debates on inclusion not only in schooling but also in vocational education and training. The reform proposals presented here for discussion on the organization of inclusive vocational training are based on the UN CRPD and its fundamental understanding of “discrimination” (Art. 2 UN CRPD), inclusion (Art. 24 UN CRPD) and the “reasonable accommodation” to be made by states (Art. 2 UN CRPD).
