Abstract
With the ratification of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) over 15 years ago, Germany committed to enabling persons with disabilities to Access the labor market and to supporting their ability to earn a living independently (Art. 27 UN CRPD). Only in recent years has the analysis of transitions of young persons with disabilities from school to work gained greater attention. This article presents the current state of knowledge on these post-school transitions in Germany and their influencing factors, and concludes with implications for research, educational administration, and practice.
