Abstract

Dealing with the colonial 'heritage' of society is not only, but also a task of pedagogy. The article discusses efforts to decolonisation of society with a focus on racism-critical approaches. In reports on relevant courses, two basic pedagogical processes can be identified: Education as the sustained and sanctioned imposition of orientations and education as an offer of orientation. It also becomes clear that these pedagogical interventions are primarily aimed at the political Weltanschauung; the article contrasts this with praxeological intervention, which more comprehensively attempts to decolonise the practical way of life of the addressees. These pedagogical strategies for decolonising society must, however, be evaluated depending on the context.
