The usual theoretical analyses of stimulus-response compatibility have, in the past, been couched in rather superficial S-R and/or information processing terms and are marked by a conspicuous artificiality. This project redresses these sins with an analysis of auditory S-R compatibility effects from an ecological and ecoethological perspective.
